Description

It wouldn't be a Zarf competition entry without a surrealist descent into madness!

What's going on? What is the goal? Is there *really* chaos here, or am I just deconstructing the conventions of IF to mess with your head?

I came across the following unexpected behavior while playing this otherwise wonderful game. The three characters remaining to you should be more than sufficient to correct this unfortunate flaw:

>yes
Variable unavailable: 20009/0
Variable unavailable: 20009/0
Variable unavailable: 20009/0

You get out of nothing.

Darkness
It is pitch dark, and you can't see a thing.

It is now pitch dark in here!

And my favorite excerpt:

>kill chaos
The dreadful truth is, this is not a dream.

bug

I got that bug on one play, but not since. But that might be because I got a different set of random actions.

It sort of looks like a Parchment thing to me, but I could also be completely wrong. Probably worth someone testing it with a fixed seed.

It's not a Parchment bug,

It's not a Parchment bug, it's a game bug. I'm rewhacking Inform's internal parser variables with no safeguards.

I think the problem occurs when the "go" action comes up -- my code tries to treat the player object as a direction, and boom.
