Let google do the heavy lifting

Laziness, the fair weather friend of all well-intentioned computer efforts, has motivated me to attempt a blog post using GoogleDocs as an editor. Since I don't yet have a WYSIWYG editor in place on this site, and I haven't set up a system for otherwise including pictures in content, this saves me a lot of work.

I'm not entirely sure this will work, but if it does, you should see a picture of me sitting on a chair under a hut. This picture is from my 1991 trip to Belize with my friend Peter. We rented this small island for a day. Yes, I said rented the island. It's not much of an island, though. Peter was standing at the far end when he took the picture.

I'm glad to say that the guy who rented us the island actually came back for us in the evening.
