This game requires the YALI (yet another lolcode interpreter) to run.
The interpreter is described at http://1.618034.com/yali-yet-another-lolcode-interpreter/index.php
and version 1.1 can be downloaded from http://1.618034.com/blog_data/files/yali.v1.1.pl.txt
YALI depends on the PERL module Parse::RecDescent found at http://search.cpan.org/dist/Parse-RecDescent/lib/Parse/RecDescent.pm
Installation instructions:
0) if not already on your system, install perl
1) install the Parse::RecDescent (e.g., "sudo cpan" and then "install Parse::RecDescent")
2) run the game: perl yali -s chzbgr.lol

Using perl 5.10.1, I get:
dougo@quiet:~/twifcomp2010$ perl yali.v1.1.pl -s chzbgr.lol
Can't use string ("4") as an ARRAY ref while "strict refs" in use at yali.v1.1.pl line 713.
Commenting out the "use strict" line works, though.

Hmm. It worked OK when I tested on my mac, under Perl 5.8.8.
Thanks for the suggestion to get by that error. It figures that a herd of cats wouldn't strictly conform to standards.
Multi-leveled
At first glance this is a Hofstadteresque exercise in self-resemblance, playful and charming. This first level is not to be ignored - even if that were the entirety of the piece, it could easily stand on its own two feet (see: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=standing+cat).
However, when considered in the context of the author's previous, more obviously serious work interpreting Shakespeare, this work clearly references both Freud's claim that beyond the pleasure principle is the death principle, and the present political contention regarding food (e.g. Morgan Spurlock's popular documentary). Is the author suggesting that our preoccupation with internet memes prevents us from perceiving the real issues that confront us?
Regardless, the author has given the critics a lot to chew on!
